Pretty Little Liars - Out of Sight, Out of Mind

As Hanna (Ashley Benson) deals with the fallout from her mother (Laura Leighton) running over Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson) with her car, and tries her best to convince her mother not to take any drastic action that she may later regret, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) finally comes clean to Aria (Lucy Hale) and Emily (Shay Mitchell) about discovering that Toby (Keegan Allen) has been working for A. Spencer's revelation is followed shortly thereafter a warning left on her doorstep that one of her friends will pay the price for Spencer sharing her secret.

Unwilling to believe the worst about her friend, Emily does some investigating of her own, even using her mother's (Nia Peeples) position with the police when she runs into a dead end. While spending some time with Ezra (Ian Harding) and his son, and hiding the entire situation from her mother (Holly Marie Combs), Aria tries to process the news that Maggie (Larisa Oleynik) and Malcolm may be moving to Rosewood permanently.

Spencer follows Mona (Janel Parrish) into the woods and ends up admitted to Radley after being found by police hours later wandering around incoherently. Emily gets a text message from Toby agreeing to meet but leaves with more questions that answers when Toby fails to show. Emily atches a glimpse of the blonde in the red coat, her car window is busted, and a cryptic note from A is left on the driver's front seat informing her of Toby's death. Wilden's cruiser shows up Hanna's garage with the recording of the accident playing on the car's monitor which sends a freaked-out Hanna to Aria to get her friend to help get rid of the car.

Wilden's continued absence is odd, considering the police should be searching for a missing officer by now and the stunt with the cruiser in Hanna's garage (not to mention the trouble of driving it around town in broad daylight and parking it there) seems impossible to do stealthily and over-elaborate, even for A. Whatever really happened to the man, Hanna's extreme action, and the show's end credit sequence, foreshadows the fact that this story is far from over. Spencer's admission into the sanitarium leaves the Liars down a member, but puts Spencer in a unique situation to find some answers about Mona, Toby, and the illusive A.
