Arrow - The Odyssey

After Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) gets shot while trying to get information from Moira (Susanna Thompson) about "the undertaking" and her missing husband (Colin Salmon) a wounded vigilante hides out in the back of Felicity Smoak's (Emily Bett Rickards) car and convinces her to drive him to his hidden base under his father's old factory. As Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity try to patch up his bullet wound and save their friend, an unconscious Oliver remembers back to his days of training with Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett) and their attempt to fly the island all those years ago.

The night before Slade and Oliver make a run for the supply plane (which won't be making another stop on the island for three more months) Slade gives the rich boy some background on his past on the island and how he and his friend (the other man in the Deathstroke armor) became mercenaries working for Edward Friers (Sebastian Dunn). Despite only needing to take out one guard to Slade's ten, he still manages to screw things up. Oliver's knowledge of The Odyssey manages to save their enterprise but another problem arises when he learns of Slade's plan to call in an airstrike to kill everyone on the island including Yao Fei (Byron Mann) - the man who saved Oliver's life and kept him alive for six months.

Unwilling to leave Yao Fei to die, Oliver races across the island only to be captured, forcing Slade to make his own rescue attempt and give Oliver a front row seat at a battle between two Deathstrokes but it also means both men miss their only ride off of the island. The flashbacks also reveal the reason for Yao Fei's change in allegiance and his unwillingness to leave the island as "Odyssey" introduces another important character of Green Arrow's mythology by casting Celina Jade as Fei's daughter Shado who we'll no doubt be seeing much more of in the future.

Back in the present, Diggle lets Felicity in on more of Oliver's operation, including telling her about the bad guys they've been able to take down thanks in large part to her assistance. After upgrading the vigilante's computer system and working behind the scenes to destroy blood evidence Oliver left in his mother's office, Felicity agrees to help Oliver and Diggle find Walter but balks at joining Team Arrow full time. And after his recent run-in with his mother Oliver is in no hurry to dig any deeper to her connection to the list or Walter's disappearance.
