Young Justice - Fix

Stuck aboard Black Manta‘s’ (Khary Payton) ship under the guise of Tigress, Artemis' (Stephanie Lemelin) world gets far more complicated when Manta informs her that Psimon (Alan Tudyk) is about to start rebuilding Aqualad's mind. On one hand that means she will get her friend back, but that also means Psimon will discover her true identity and that both she and Aqualad have been working against Manta and The Light the entire time. Manta also informs her that he is going after Miss Martian (Danica McKellar) personally for leaving his son in his current vegetative state, meaning she will also have to find a way to warn her friend as well.

Turning the tables, Artemis incapacitates Psimon and convinces Manta that only Miss Martian can safely restore Aqualad's mind. Manta sends Artemis and Deathstroke (Wentworth Miller) to retrieve the Martian. With a bomb collar around her friend's neck (and Deathstroke at the trigger), Artemis accompanies M'gann inside Kaldur's broken mind and slowly attempt to repair the damage done.

Nightwing (Jesse McCartney) has his own fences to mend when he comes clean about Aqualad and Artemis' secret mission to and Superboy (Nolan North) and Lagoon Boy (Yuri Lowenthal). With Superboy's revelation of what M'gann did to Kaldur they now know why Artemis can back for Miss Martian. They also realize even if Miss Martian is able to repair Aqualad's mind that won't save her from Black Manta's wrath. On the brighter side, the Green Beetle (Phil LaMarr) of Mars is able to help Jaime Reyes (Eric Loomis) take full control of his scarab and stop worrying about Impulse‘s (Jason Marsden) prophecy of the Blue Beetle’s future coming true.

After several episodes with Artemis on the sideline it's nice to see her get some serious screentime this week. As M'gann slowly begins to rebuild Kaldur's mind, Artemis' balancing act isn't going to get any easier as she'll have to find a way to save herself and her friends. As to the Beetle's new lease on life, I wouldn't be surprised if the Green Martian's "fix" is far less permanent than Jaime is led to believe.
