The return of Will Wheaton (once again playing himself) causes a dust up between the Star Trek: The Next Generation celebrity and Amy (Mayim Bialik) when Will agrees to make an appearance on Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) webseries "Fun with Flags." Looking for guidance from Penny (Kaley Cuoco), who offers him one too many Long Island Ice Teas, a drunken Shelton shows up at Wheaton's home to defend his girlfriend's honor.
In the episode's B-story Howard (Simon Helberg) feels renewed pressure to finish moving out of his mother's house and live with Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) full time now that their married. Howard finally breaks the cord by moving the last of his stuff out of his childhood bedroom and into their apartment, but his wistful remembrances cause Bernadette to unexpectedly soften her stance.
It's good to see Wheaton return, although I'll admit he's much more fun as the over-the-top evil version of himself. I also enjoyed seeing Sheldon and Amy tape another another episode of "Fun with Flags," first with Wheaton and then later with the help of a cameo from LaVar Burton (the second he's made on the show). Although the Howard/Bernadette story wasn't as strong, I'll admit I didn't see that final twist coming.
