Hawaii Five-0 - Season Two on DVD

The rebooted Hawaiian police task force returns for a second season. Over the course of the year Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) will continue to track down the notorious Wo Fat (Mark Dacascos) and search for the mysterious Shellburne. The Second Season returns CIA Agent Jenna Kaye (Larisa Oleynik) and Captain Fryer (Tom Sizemore) in recurring roles and introduces two important new supporting characters in McGarrett's former commander and surrogate father figure Joe White (Terry O'Quinn) and Lori Weston (Lauren German) as the new Governor's (Richard T. Jones) self-appointed member to the Five-o task force.

The first episodes of the season deal with proving McGarret wasn't responsible for the death of the Governor (Jean Smart) and Kono's (Grace Park) undercover work to take down a former cop (William Baldwin). By the sixth episode of the season the team is back together (when McGarret isn't off on his own searching for old friends and new enemies).

The Second Season is highlighted by Edward Asner reprising his role of August March from the original series, Grace (Teilor Grubbs) is kidnapped by Danny's (Scott Caan) old partner (Peter Greene), a two-part crossover episode with NCIS: Los Angeles (both episodes are included), the return of the serial killer who murdered Max's (Masi Oka) mother, a guest-appearance by Caan's real-life father James Caan, and a walk down the aisle for Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim).

The six-disc collection includes all 23 episodes (as well as an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles), a 30-min. behind-the-scenes look at Season Two, a featurette on the season's action sequences, an interactive guide to the locations used in the season, and a short featurette on Navy SEALs. The set also includes deleted scenes for select episodes, a gag reel, an Easter Egg with Caan and O'Loughlin, and audio commentary for two episodes (including the season premiere) from O'Loughlin, Kim, Park, and writers Peter M. Lenkov and Paul Zbyszewski.
