Futurama - Naturama

In the season finale is presented as a series of vignettes from "Mutual of Omicron's Wild Universe" as the Planet Express crew play roles of various animal species including a the life-cycle of school of salmon that follows the romance of fishy versions of Fry (Billy West), Leela (Katey Sagal) and Zapp Brannigan (West).

The second story takes place on the Galapagos Islands and stars Professor Farnsworth (West) as a giant tortoise searching for love while being cheered on by Darwin's finch versions of the other members of the Planet Express crew. Although some of the sex humor of the story is sophomoric (at best), the ending more than makes up for its flaws.

In the episode's third, and final, story Bender (John Di Maggio) takes center stage as a the largest elephant seal who steals all the lady seals from the likes of Fry, the Professor, Hermes (Phil LaMarr), and Kif (Maurice LaMarche) who try to mate with the females while the beach master is otherwise occupied. Although an unusual choice for a final episode, "Naturama" turns out to be one of the funnier episodes of the season as we see each of the characters reimagined in various forms in a story set to the dry wit and dark humor of the narrator as he takes a look at the ridiculous mating rituals of a handful of species on a small planet known as Earth.
