While enduring a series of pranks from high school kids blowing off steam with an annual scavenger hunt, and searching for Epstein's (Gregory Smith) stolen squad car, Andy (Missy Peregrym) and Swarek (Ben Bass) come across a rattled and bloody teen (Noah Reid) with a bag full of cash. Although the kid escapes, his trail leads the pair of cops to a local thief and fence bleeding to death in the back room of his shop.
While searching for the car, Diaz (Travis Milne) and Nash (Enuka Okuma) catch a suspect (Liam Green) stealing a public sign who has a full list of the scavenger hunt items in his possession. Meanwhile, Peck (Charlotte Sullivan) finds herself babysitting Collins (Peter Mooney) on the search for the squad car, while trying her best not to admit her lingering feelings for him, when Noelle (Melanie Nicholls-King) has to make an emergency trip to the hospital due to possible complications with her pregnancy.
While Andy and Swarek uncover a relationship between the teen and the daughter (Clare Stone) of the man he beat and stole thousands of dollars from, Epstein and Shaw (Matt Gordon) are able to retrieve the car and catch the two kids who boosted it. However things are complicated when they learn the thieves sold the stolen shotgun to the suspect Andy has been chasing which leads to a hostage situation inside the high school.
Although I'm beginning to wonder if all the episodes are going to have different storylines that all coincidentally dovetail into each other (or maybe it's just the first two episodes of this season), "Class Dismissed" works all right and moves a couple relationships forward as Andy and Swarek agree to take things slow, Epstein learns to trust his girlfriend (Mayko Nguyen), and Peck and Collins finally give into their feelings for each other. We also get a look at Shaw's less than ideal home life.
