The unexpected return of James Wiley Shannon (Stephen Lang), Mary's (Mary McCormack) father, brings all kinds of new trouble Mary's way including the return of Agent O'Conner (Will McCormack) who needs Mary's help to get her father to testify against his old boss Cormac "Sully" Sullivan (Steve Eastin) which might put Jinx (Lesley Ann Warren) and Brandi (Nichole Hiltz), as well as Mary's half-brother (Aaron Ashmore), in danger.
Deeply mistrustful of her father's motives, and with more than 30 years of anger built up from when he walked out of their home abandoning his family, Mary has come to terms with her father and his past choices in order to ensure the safety of her family's future. Although she attempts to reconcile, Mary's instincts prove sadly correct her when her father bolts seeking revenge after the sting operation falls apart.
Marshall (Frederick Weller) introduces his father (Geoff Pierson) to Abigail (Rachel Boston) for the first time. While his father is thrilled with Abigail, shows some concern about Marshall's feelings for Mary and whether or not he's chosen to walk down the aisle with the right woman.
With only two episodes left Mary will have to hunt down her father before he does something they'll both regret. We've also got Marshall's impending nuptials, and the fate of Albuquerque WITSEC still up in the air as well.
