When we first met her in the Burn Notice Pilot episode Fiona Glenanne was a fiery former bomber for the IRA with a short temper and ridiculous Irish accent. The accent may have not made it past the Pilot episode, but Fi's fiery personality has thrived over the show's five seasons.
An expert in firearms and explosives, as well as surveillance, hand-to-hand combat, high speed puruit, and a fair shot with a sniper rifle, Fi has been an invaluable resource to Michael Weston (Jeffrey Donovan), the man who drives her crazy but she can never abandon. Despite her hard edges Fi is a softy at heart willing to give up anything, even her own freedom, to keep the man she loves safe (even from himself).
Despite her history as a bomber, terrorist, and arms dealer, Fi leads with her heart and (much like Michael) has a soft spot for hard-luck stories and normal people who find themselves in over their heads and in need of assistance. We can attribute Michael's role in Miami, and the group of friends which has grown over the years, all back to Fiona's influence.
Fi is played with moxie by Gabrielle Anwar known best for her roles in For Love or Money, Scent of a Woman, The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines, and If Looks Could Kill. Anwar has infused the fiery Irish woman with just the right mix of ass-kicking and tenderness which makes her one of the most awesome characters on television today.

I don't go for waffer thin Miami women but Fiona is worth dying for. She is magnificent. Nice to see Anwar getting to play herself after all this time.
