When the body of a storm tracker turns up Bones (Emily Deschanel) and her team try to discover what killed him before his body was caught up in a tornado, while Booth (David Boreanaz) goes into overprotective mode and tries to keep her far away from any possible danger, be it real or imagined.
Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) and Angela (Michaela Conlin) struggle with both the lack of sleep from taking care of their eight-month-old and the arrival of Angela's father (Billy Gibbons) who wants to spend some time with his granddaughter. Fisher (Joel David Moore) returns to the lab after his latest stint in, as Hodgins puts it, a loony bin, and regales his co-workers with his experience of living with his mother as part of his release.
The baby story, along with Bones and Booth's own baby drama, seemed to work better with the murder mystery than in previous weeks. It was fun to see Fisher back in the lab, and to see him have some fun involving the storm tracker's van and his new lady friend (Emily Wilson) in the middle of his crazy relationship with his mother.
Although the character relationships certainly are the focus of the story, the idea of centering a murder around a tornado also gives the episode a unique feel. It may not be one of the show's best episodes, but it may turn out to be one of its most memorable.
