When the co-owner of a Las Vegas casino turns up dead in an abandoned delivery dock in New York City Castle (Nathan Fillion), Ryan (Seamus Dever) and Esposito (Jon Huertas) take a road trip to Las Vegas, and use the opportunity to throw Ryan an impromptu bachelor party.
Staying behind in New York, Beckett (Stana Katic) searches for the missing driver (David Figlioli) and finds a connection between the casino employee (Susie Castillo) and a worthless piece of property in New York City the victim was desperately trying to buy hours before his death.
Back in Vegas the guys discover millions missing from the casino. At first they think the victim was embezzling from his partner but it turns out the actual story is far more interesting. After accusing his partner (Richard Burgi) of murder and kidnapping the guys find themselves thrown out of the casino. Luckily for them Castle finds a way to sneak back inside - by disguising themselves as Elvis impersonators.
Although not as good as last week's episode, "Heartbreak Hotel" has some trademark twists and turns and finds Beckett and mixes things up by having Castle working separately on the case from different angles. The episode's B-story involving Alexis' (Molly C. Quinn) girls night turned into an out of control party isn't nearly as enjoyable as her attempt to hide the evidence from her hungover father in the episode's final moments.
