When a hot dog eating champion turns up dead Bones (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) are on the case. The lucrative nature of the sport turns up more than a few suspects the the real struggle for Booth is trying to get Bones to share more of her pregnancy with him.
The episode also introduces a controversial new lab assistant for the Jeffersonian Institute when Cam (Tamara Taylor) hires a young man with a few skeletons in his past and a sealed juvenile file. Although Finn (Luke Kleintank) is brilliant Caroline (Patricia Belcher) is against his hiring, and his southern drawl and homespun ways initially drive Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) crazy.
As Bones attempts to walk a mile in Booth's shoes (which isn't as fun as you might think) the team and its new member attempt to find the evidence that will point them to their killer.
Although the character is a little too aw shucks for me in a couple of scenes, even as we are told he's the smartest assistant Bones has had since Zack (Eric Millegan), I like Finn as an addition to the revolving lab assistants and the bonding with Hodgins works well to begin that relationship. Here's hoping he sticks around awhile.
