WHEEEAATOOOOON!!!! After running into Wil Wheaton at the comic book store and earning an invite to his party Sheldon (Jim Parsons) tries to convince his friends not to go to a gather organized by his arch-nemesis. As you might guess, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) has other plans.
Wheaton's guest-appearances as a dick version of himself have provided some fun moments over the years so it's a little strange to see him play nice with Sheldon. I'll admit, I kind of miss the a-hole Wheaton. That said, this version does provide one fun moment with a sincere apology to Sheldon that is ruined by his former shipmate Spiner. It looks like Sheldon's got a new arch-nemesis now.
The episode's B-story involves Howard (Simon Helberg) being chosen by NASA to go to the International Space Station with his team's space telescope and Bernadette's (Melissa Rauch) reluctance at letting him go. She even goes so far as to sabotage his plans by telling his mother.
Even with the abrupt change in Wil Wheaton's "character" the episode does deliver some fun moments (such as giving us a better understanding of what the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation used their action figures for).
