Awesome. Simply awesome. I'm really at a loss for words with Chuck pulling out all the stops for a show this good. Not only is it the best episode of the season, it's one of the best of the entire series.
Aside from wrapping up the Volkoff (Timothy Dalton) storyline this episode gives us everything you could want including the birth of a new Bartowski, Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) together again, a touching moment between Casey (Adam Baldwin) and his daughter (Mekenna Melvin), the return of Orion (sort of), Jeffster!'s insanely inappropriate performance of "Push It" in a hospital maternity ward, Morgan successfully navigating a laser field, and the proposal we've been waiting for all season.
This episode really felt tight, well-written, and perfectly executed. It felt much more like a season, or even series, finale rather than just another mid-season episode. I've also got to give a shout out to the writers for letting Chuck's heart and brain (and not the Intersect) do the heavy lifting this time around. Like I said, awesome. And next week brings back John Laroqutte as super spy (and nefarious ladies man) Roan Montgomery. Simply awesome.
